Description:

To provide support to Sales and Marketing, focusing on Pricing Data Analysis in terms of but not limited to updating and maintaining pricing information, processing price change requests from common mailboxes, and coordinating with different departments like Marketing, Engineering, and Technical Support to ensure the validity of price information. Generates and creates pricing and business intelligence reports for strategic marketing, planning and decision-making purposes.

Responsibilities:

Pricing Sales & Marketing Analysis

  • Adds and updates item prices in Oracle, Pricing Tool and Price Books in FTP server

  • Updates Marketing Category and Product Hierarchy of items in Oracle

  • Analyzes and corrects item prices in Oracle, Pricing Tool and Price Books in FTP server

  • Validates and calculates pricing using offline pricing tools

  • Coordinates with the technical support/product managers/ other support group to obtain product and service pricing

  • Escalates pricing issues to appropriate support group

  • Identifies and resolves price related issues with customers

  • Implements price change by creating new or update existing price book

  • Performs price audit and analysis

  • Maintains and updates customer contacts database

  • Sends out price increase notifications to internal and external contacts


Data Gathering and Manipulation

  • Extracts/generates quantitative information from single or multiple tools (Business Intelligence Tools (ie: Oracle, Power BI, etc.)

  • Extracts/generates quantitative information from databases using standard queries. (basic coding)

  • Gathers and collates data from different sources based on approved requirements (Established Simple Reporting)

  • Communicates with resource person to get input/raw data needed for report generation

  • Communicates with resource person to get input/raw data needed for report generation

  • Formats extracted data based on expected report output. (with batching capability)

  • Formats extracted data based on expected report output. (multiple data formatting requirements)

  • Consolidates and standardize data structure from different data sources

  • Combines extracted data from multiple resources using automated tools (excel, macro, database)

  • Categorizes and segments extracted data using tools to convert data to information relevant to the report (excel, macro, database)

  • Calculates data using available fields within the gathered information. (basic math)


Data Analysis

  • Gathers and analyzes report requirements from stakeholders. Identify and provide solution to general inquiries

  • Analyzes gathered information & data using descriptive analytics (basic mathematics & comparative analysis)

  • Analyzes stakeholder requirements from an existing report and provides improvement and recommendation based on customer request

Reporting

  • Creates reports based on standard templates

  • Provides status updates on report development, raise issues encountered and adjust timeline as appropriate.

  • Generates, analyzes, creates report/dashboard from different sources and submit to requestor

  • Enhances tools/scripts that can automate the reporting process (Excel Macro, VBA, SQL, Access)

Maintenance of Common Mailbox

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, Information Technology, Statistics, or business-related courses
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in pricing administration and analysis
  • Intermediate knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access)
  • Basic Knowledge in SQL
  • Data Manipulation and Interpretation Skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving skills and close attention to detail
  • Good comprehension of technology and data management tools used in the process of collecting, storing, retrieving and analyzing data
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment is a must
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
